Old school Italian bakery located in South Philly near Society Hill. The garlic bread was delicious and at only $2.50 for a giant loaf, a bona fide bargain! We arrived at about 3:15 and they were completely sold out of bread which is what we had come in for, but lesson learned. So now we know, if we want to try the bread, get there early. But at least we got to try the garlic bread which we would definitely buy again.

I have been going to this bakery for many years. I used to live two doors away and would get fresh rolls everyday. I still think their bread is delicious! I still get their bread and still think it's one of the best bakeries around. The ladies are nice, the owners are nice and the place is clean. There's a variety of rolls from Kaiser's to steaks to dinner rolls to long bread, seeded bread and they all freeze beautifully so you can take them home if your visiting. They also have pizza and tomato pie and cookies, all highly recommended.

There’s a reason why everyone sends you to Sarcone’s for tomato pies. They’re addictively good. Excellent even. A definite must.

Sarcone's reputation as a Philly food landmark is well-deserved. Their tomato pie (not pizza) is unique and delicious. Philly food tours make a stop here for the pie and cannoli. Their friendly, hard-working employees are up loading their delivery trucks in the wee hours. They feed the birds and greet my dog and me on our early-morning walks. Sarcone's also supplies rolls and breads to dozens of restaurants around Philly. Note there is no inside seating, but there are parks nearby if you can't wait to eat.

Their pizza pie tasted just like my grandparents who were immigrants from Italy. Brought back some great memories. Thank you

Wonderful, Old World charm in South Philly. Family owned for century. The appeal is undeniable. We only got cannoli's, but everything looked and smelled wonderful. And yes, they even sell pizza. Cash only, so come prepared.

Yes it is worth it to come here & try the room temperature Tomato Pie! They only had ONE slice left when we arrived. It is SIMPLE but the flavor will blow your mind! YUM!!! Visit the Italian market and make sure to come here for an after coffee snack. Within walking distance to iconic Ralph's Italian Restaurant and Also famous Angelo's Pizza.

Out of this world amazing! My son and I agreed to never go to Philly without stopping by Sarcone's. We bought a loaf, rolls, and pizza. Next time we're buying more of those and trying everything else they sell. If all shops served food at this caliber, I think there would be world peace hahaha
